Album: Eleven Roses Again, Bobby Flores has recorded and produced another CD that is loaded with Swing, Texas dance hall music and some beautiful Bobby Flores instrumentation. Bobby is heard of course on fiddle and vocals as well as playing guitar, bajo sexto and viola on the album of 10 very enjoyable musical treats. The album opens up with a Faron Young classic from the pen of Tom T. Hall, If I Ever Fall in Love and then goes on to the Cajun sounding Cajun Baby. Amongst the many Texas dance hall classics are the album title tune, Darrell McCall's Eleven Roses, Double Life, from the late Little Joe Carson and Nat Stuckey's Don't you Believe her from the great Ray Price. The instrumentals are the beautiful south of the border waltz La Golondrina and the Joe Red Hayes and Hank Singer classic Sweet Nellie with guest fiddle player Hank Singer. Also included is a fantastic version of the old Carl Smith hit, Ira and Charlie Louvin's composition Are You Teasing Me. The styling on this one is reminiscent of Charlie Harris with Ray Price's Cherokee Cowboys. In memory of recently deceased, Charlie Walker is I Go Anywhere. The album closes with a Bobby Flores vocal on one that he recorded as an instrumental on an earlier CD, Danny Boy from Ray Price. In addition to Bobby we can hear and enjoy other super musicians. The drums are played by Jim Loessberg while the upright bass player is Jake Hooker. Randy Reinhard is the album piano player and also is one of the many exciting steel guitarists along with Tommy Detamore, Jim Loessberg and Dicky Overbey. The album also features guest fiddle players Catie Offerman and R.J. Smith on La Golondrina and Danny Boy. Also heard on the album are Richard Hunter-harmonica and John Stuart-cello. Both Bobby and Leighan Cortes are heard on background vocals.
