Album: In a Texas State of Mind
Artist: Paul Main

Paul Main, a very smooth vocalist and talented guitarist (lead and rhythm) and drummer from Maine has just recorded and released a new CD. Lonesome Highway Band is heard with Paul on this 11 tune CD of awesome western swing.

Besides featuring Paul you will hear Russ Simpson on harmony vocals. Craig Parker is the album bassist while John Rumney is heard playing both piano and acoustic guitar. The album also features the pedal steel guitar of Fred Thompson and the harmonica of Keith Bean. A very special treat are the fiddles of Sarah Hoag.

The album opens from the Bob Wills tune library with Cindy Walker's You're from Texas and then goes on to other Wills memories, I Needed You, Old Fashioned Love, Bubbles in my Beer, another one from Cindy Walker's pen, Tommy Duncan's Time Changes Everything and Haven Gillespie's Right or Wrong. Harlan Howard wrote Anything You Can Spare and Johnny Gimble wrote and originally recorded Under the X in Texas. Walkin' the Floor Over You is from the pen and hit parade of the late Ernest Tubb while the old favorite I Only Want a Buddy Not a Sweetheart was recorded by so many over the years including a classic rendition by Patsy Montana and the Prairie Ramblers. The final tune is Willie Nelson's Funny How Time Slips Away, originally from both Billy Walker and Jimmy Elledge.
