Album: Wild Turkey and 7 Up Here is a brand new CD of 10 tunes from a very talented vocalist with mostly Texas dance hall and swing style sounds. It really hits the jackpot. It was produced by Jim Vest with a back-up band consisting of some wonderful musicians. The album also features some very enjoyable Scott Sanders and Sonny Garrish steel guitar and the fiddle of Bruce Watkins. Wayne Killeious and Clyde Brooks are heard playing the drums while Kelly Black, Mike Severs and Gregg Galbraith play lead guitar. Buddy Hyatt and Gary Prim are the pianists and Jim Hyatt and Larry Paxton play the bass guitar. Bobby Terry and Michael Spriggs play acoustic guitar. The album opens with an awesome Texas dance hall tune, the album title, Wild Turkey and 7 Up. Other Texas dance hall sounds are Take my Advice Cause I Never Used it and Hank Cochran's That Comin' Back Look. Then there are gems with a touch of western swing, Here's Looking at You, Down,Down,Down, My Memory's Gonna Serve You Right, Are You Gone for Good and Meet Me at the Wishing Well. The remaining two tunes are the country Hurt Like Haggard and Cry Like Jones and the closer, the inspirational Peace in the Valley.
