Album: The Right Five- Volume 1 The Ft. Worth, Texas area has had for years spotlighted some of the top musicians in both the Western Swing and Texas dance hall music areas. Now, five of the very best have got together to form this band and record this awesome new CD. The group guitar player is Chuck Cusimano, who is heard on vocal on three of the album's 12 tunes. Chuck is also a world renowned songwriter. The band steel guitarist, also heard on three vocals, is former Ray Price steel wizard, Buddie Hrabal. Current Ray Price fantastic Cherokee Cowboy fiddle player, Dale Morris Jr. is heard playing fiddle and also does three vocals. Billy Martin is the bassist and also does three vocals. The fifth group member is the drummer, Danny Adams. Joining the five for this CD is the talented Texas pianist, Chip Bricker. The album opens in the Texas dance hall mood with Buddie bringing back the Carl and Pearl Butler hit from the early 1960s Honky Tonkitis. Chuck's first in the album is a western swing oriented tune that he wrote Brand New Tune. Billy's first entry is Big Blue Diamonds and Dale's first entry is Hank Cochran's Don't you Ever Get Tired from the great Ray Price. Also from Chuck's pen are his other two vocals Speakin' of Cheatin' and Heartbreak Town. He also wrote Another Day in the Life of a Fool which Billy Sings. Billy's third entry is the beautiful The Rose is for Today. Buddie's other two vocals are Buck Owens and Don Rich's Something to Remember you By and the Faron Young composition and hit Your Old Used to Be. Dale also borrows from Ray Price a Wayne Walker composition I've Got a New Heartache and closes the album in the Texas dance hall mood with Your Still on my Mind.
